Grant Awards Program

Membership money will used to award grants in the following community pathways

  1. Childcare
  2. Crime prevention
  3. Crisis
  4. Drug Rehabilitation
  5. Education
  6. Elderly Care
  7. Heath
  8. Homeless
  9. Hunger
  10. Youth Programs

In order to invest in the future of our community, there will also be an endowment account established and funds will be added at the end of each year.

General Criteria

  • Organization must be serving people in the Black community
  • Organization must have tax-exempt status (i.e. 501©3 status) and their corporate  status must be in good standing
  • Organization’s main focus must be clearly defined as a match in one of the 10 community pathways (see above)
  • Organization’s objectives for this grant must be clearly defined and reasonably capable of being achieved
  • Organization must provide copy of Bylaws and Board of Directors
  • Organization must provide an explanation of how their program(s) or project(s) will improve the quality of life for the target population
